• Regularly communicate with family members and other staff, such as school psychologists and counsellor in order to meet the individual needs of each student
• Foster a positive and collaborative learning environment where the unique needs of all students are met
• Develop lesson plans and learning goals with the head teacher
• Maintain daily records, track student progress and intervene to help students progress as necessary
• 2+ years’ nursing experience, preferably in a pediatric care facility
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
• Valid nursing license
• Advanced knowledge of EMRs
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and to fill in when needed
• Excellent bedside manner and communication skills
• Ability to explain treatments and conditions to children of all ages
• Working knowledge of health care laws and regulations
